What You Will Do:

  • Master Smoking Techniques: Apply your expertise to smoke a variety of meats to perfection, ensuring each piece is flavorful and of the highest quality.
  • Uphold Quality Standards: Maintain the tradition of excellence in smoking, ensuring all meats meet our stringent quality criteria.
  • Collaborate with the Culinary Team: Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to refine and perfect the BBQ menu, contributing to the unique dining experience at Valley Farm Market & The Shack.
  • Maintain Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain smoking equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Innovate and Experiment: Bring creativity to our smoking processes, experimenting with techniques and flavors to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Ensure Timely Preparation: Coordinate with the kitchen team to manage the smoking schedule, ensuring all meats are prepared and ready for service as needed.
  • Engage in Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest smoking techniques and trends in the BBQ world, bringing new ideas and improvements to our operations.

What You Will Bring:

  • Expertise in Smoking: Demonstrated mastery in smoking meats, with a deep understanding of various techniques and methods.
  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 3 years working with BBQ and smoking, showcasing your ability to deliver exceptional quality.
  • Passion for BBQ: A genuine love for the craft of smoking meat and a commitment to culinary excellence.
  • Knowledge of Meat Cuts: Comprehensive knowledge of meat cuts and the optimal approaches to smoking them.
  • Team Player Attitude: Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Positive Energy: Bringing a positive and energetic attitude to the workplace, enhancing the team dynamic.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work weekends, holidays, and as needed, demonstrating commitment to the role.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
