Turkey Gravy w/ Giblets & Mushrooms
This delightful turkey gravy recipe is perfect for your next Thanksgiving feast. Deliciously savory and perfectly balanced!
Ingredients:
- 32 oz. of turkey stock & pan drippings
- 1 cup of minced giblets
- 2 shallots minced
- 1 tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup of dry white wine
- 1 pack of crimini mushrooms diced
- 2 tbsp. of cornstarch
- 2 tbsp. of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup of minced chives
- Salt and fresh ground black pepper
Equipment:
- Sharp knife
- Cutting board
- Medium-sized sauce pot
Instructions:
- Mince giblets, then mince shallots and dice mushrooms
- Saute giblets, shallots and mushrooms in olive oil until shallots become translucent
- Deglaze pan with white wine and reduce wine by 50%
- Add turkey stock and bring to a simmer
- Combine cornstarch and heavy cream until corn starch is completely dissolved and add to the pot whisking until incorporated
- Bring the gravy to a simmer season with salt and pepper and minced chives, serve warm
